I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT:
This event is being governed and run exclusively by JumpRopeRun, L.L.C., a limited liability company incorporated in California. This event is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Santa Clarita Community College District (hereinafter “District”). This event may be strenuous; participation is voluntary; and I have the option of consulting a physician before participating. Participation in this event and related activities pose the potential risk of serious injury and/or illness, including, but not limited to: sprains, fractured bones, unconsciousness, head injuries, back injuries, paralysis, damaged eyesight, communicable diseases, dehydration, heat stroke, heart attack, and death. To the maximum extent permissible under law and equity, I am assuming all of the risks and potential consequences of participating, and for any illness, injury, and/or damages I may suffer, I am waiving any and all claims, and agreeing to hold the District and JumpRopeRun, L.L.C. harmless.
The rules for this event shall be available at the event itself, and shall be posted at jumproperun.com or jumpropesprint.com. If deemed necessary to improve the integrity and/or the efficiency of the event, the rules may be revised at the discretion of official JumpRopeRun personnel. Upon entering this event, I am agreeing (a) to abide by all applicable rules; (b) to conduct myself with sportsmanship and decorum; and (c) to follow the directions of authorized personnel.
Video and sound recordings may be taken at this event by authorized personnel. Upon entering this event, I am consenting (a) to not interfere with such recordings; (b) to my appearance in such recordings; and (c) to any and all use of such recordings without compensation to me.
Each registrant shall be given at least 2 opportunities to post a qualifying time. The top 4 male qualifiers and the top 4 female qualifiers are guaranteed at least $100 in prize money, and shall compete in a final heat for a first place prize of $500. The remaining top qualifiers for each of various divisions, based on gender and age, will compete in their own finals for awards and/or prizes.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult at this event, and if a registrant is under 18 years old, then this form must also be signed by the registrant’s parent or guardian. |
